Business Development Manager

Premal graduated from the University of Leicester with a degree in Business Management and Finance. He joined Mattioli Woods in 2010 and worked his way up to senior account manager level. Now with City Trustees, Premal is one of the teams Business Development Managers, promoting bespoke pension solutions to intermediaries and IFAs.

 
Asif Naidu

Asif Naidu
Operations Manager

Asif joined the Mattioli Woods Group back in May 2010 after gaining experience in self-managed pensions at Cooper Parry.

Asif is the Group's Operations Manager providing support to the City Trustees Team.

 
Mark Smith

Mark Smith
Compliance Officer

Mark joined the Group in January 2000 after working in the financial services industry for 12 years. He previously gained experience with a large insurance company, a small IFA firm and most recently with specialist SSAS and SIPP consultancies. As the Group's Compliance Officer, he has been responsible for direct liaison with the FCA on all regulatory issues.

Mark was appointed to the Board in June 2008 and has responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the Group including systems, compliance, recruitment and the delivery of services to our clients.

 
Louisa Poole

Louisa Poole
Financial Controller

Louisa joined the Group in 2010. She started her career with the top 20 accountancy firm Macintyre Hudson where she completed the ICAEW examinations and qualified four years later. Louisa has also worked for KPMG and after spending nearly six years in practice she moved into industry and became the UK and Europe Group Financial Controller for Cott Corporation, the world's largest retailer brand beverage company.

As Financial Controller, Louisa oversees all aspects of the Group finance function and is responsible for the day-to-day delivery of the City Trustees finance operation.

 
Suzanne Walker

Suzanne Walker
Technical Support

Suzanne Walker joined the Group in 2001 and started her career working within the administration of group pension schemes. She progressed into account management, handling the day-to-day running of SIPP and SSAS schemes for a number of years. During this period, she also supported the syndicated property initiative assisting clients with the purchase of property within their pension schemes. Suzanne joined City Trustees in 2011 and is now responsible for technical support, advising on new business queries and assisting IFAs on all technical aspects of self-invested pension schemes.

The strength of our business is a testament to our staff, who are integral to our core values and the delivery of the client service we strive to maintain. Each client has a dedicated account manager, typically from a graduate background, to manage all aspects of scheme administration. Due to our deliberate strategy of maintaining a client to account manager ratio that is significantly lower than the industry average, we are able to deliver a hands-on proactive and personal administration function.

Through a willingness to undertake all HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) permitted transactions without restriction, our structure enables the team to efficiently undertake more sophisticated and complex arrangements, particularly surrounding property, joint ventures and other business-related transactions. Our focus is to remain strong on integrity and compliance ensuring our clients' schemes are administered with the attention to detail that is appropriate within a regulated environment.
