Pension provider's voice concern over customer service levels as legislation comes into effect

Many pension providers have voiced concerns that their customer service levels have decreased since following the changes announced at the Budget 2014.

Reported in Professional Adviser and Telegraph Money, one provider suggested that the pensions industry is in danger of "breaching its capacity to cope."

Mark Smith, Group Operations Director and Compliance Officer, said:

"It is understandable that many providers will struggle to cope with the recent changes to the pension landscape.

"Our expertise and quality of administration have always been and remain at the core of driving forward client solutions and ensuring they get the very best possible service."

Ed Carey, Managing Director, notes:

"Whilst we are all extremely excited at the prospect of flexibility within the pensions industry which was announced in the Budget 2014, there will be some complicated planning opportunities for IFAs unveiled over the next six months.

"City Trustees has the mechanisms in place to cope with the expanding world of the financial services industry. Our forward-thinking solutions and technical excellences support our overall strategy as specialist pension operator to provide trusted advice, high service standards and personalised delivery exclusively via IFAs, wealth managers and other intermediaries."
